1960 Chevrolet Corvette NCRS Top Flight Winner with 283ci/270hp V8, Dual Quad Carbs, 4-speed & Power Windows (VIN #00867S100507, 283 cu in engine #FI00ICU) This is a restored matching numbers Corvette finished in Tasco Turquoise with the matching turquoise interior with white cove and soft top. The car has the 283 cubic inch 270 hp V8 engine with the solid lifter high performance cam and dual quad carbs. The engine has a 10/1/59 production date and the car was assembled soon after in October 1959 as the 507th Corvette made for the 1960 model year. In 1997 the car went through an comprehensive frame-off restoration and then it was awarded the prestigious NCRS Top Flight Award by the National Corvette Restorers Society, their highest accolade. (Judging sheets come with the car.) In 2005/2006 renowned Corvette expert, Kevin Mackay, completely freshened up the restoration throughout and the car comes with over $30,000 in work order receipts from Kevin Mackayâs shop. The car still remains cosmetically excellent and very sound mechanically having been driven only 6,000 miles since the restoration and minimal miles since Kevin Mackay finished with the car in 2006. The indicated mileage is 83,844 which is assumed to be correct based on the opinions of several experts after driving the car. In addition to the 270hp engine with high performance solid lifter camshaft it is equipped with 4-speed manual transmission, power windows, and a WonderBar radio. The car has new radial tires on new wheels but the Goodyear wide bias ply white wall tires on the original color coded wheels will be included with the car.
