We listed this previously as a straight auction, bidding didn't quite meet the reserve. Here it is as a buy it now, no guessing as to the price. Here is a 1978 MGB. The car is very solid and drives well. There is very minor rust in left dogleg and lower right door, please see photos. Seams are straight and solid. No evidence of any crash damage. The troublesome Stromberg with bad manifold design has been converted to the earlier HS4 SU carburetors and manifolds. The interior is exceptionally clean and well preserved. As shown in the photos, the car has a nice Parrish Plastics hardtop. It also has the convertible top, which has not been up in a number of years, along with a tonneau cover and boot cover. After we acquired the car, we did a thorough cleanup of the paint and interior and the car presents a really nice appearance. All lights and systems work, car will be delivered with a new Virginia state inspection sticker. Car has been tuned and serviced, just waiting for its new home. If the car sells, we will include a new convertible top in the box, ready for the new owner to install in the spring. This represents a great opportunity to purchase a nice MGB at a reasonable price.
