Up for sale is my 1971 El Camino SS Restomod. I love this car, and it matches our '87 SS perfectly, but we have two other full restoration projects that require the extra space and attention. Recently completed (within the past year to year and a half) restoration. -Fresh bodywork & paint -Fresh crate motor -Fresh a/c -Rebuilt th350 transmission -Fresh interior -Fresh brakes Believed to be a true SS 350 car. I say "believed to be" because '69-'71 Chevy SS cars are notoriously tricky to properly identify. However, everything on this car points to it being an SS 350 car. It has a "36" VIN #, making it the highly packaged v8 for the year model. ("33" was the straight 6, "34" was the base (malibu) v8, and "36" was either an SS car, or a Malibu 400 402 big block car.) THIS IS NOT A "34" VIN "HEAVY CHEVY" CLONE! Drivetrain & mechanics: -GM Performance crate 350 (only on it's second oil change) -Edelbrock Performer EPS intake -Holley 850cfm four-barrel carb -It has a cam, but I honestly don't know what kind -Hedman headers -Fresh stainless 2 1/2" true dual exhaust w/ x-pipe! -Flowmaster 40 series mufflers -March performance serpentine belt, chrome pulley, & chromebracket assembly -Chrome alternator -Brand new Vintage a/c compressor -Quad electric fans (2 on each side of radiator) -Power steering -Power brakes (new discs up front, rebuilt drums in rear) -Rebuilt TH350 trans (automatic on the column) Paint/body, & Wheels: -Fresh gloss black paint -The white stripe's lines are perfect (no sub-par taping/masking) -Paint is a SOLID 9.5/10. NO scratches or rock chips. It's just not "museum quality". It gets driven! -Matching black lockable bed cover. -Black bed liner (not sure what brand) -Fresh chrome bumpers, trim, & badges -Boss Motorsport 338 wheels (20's) -Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance tires (245/35) Interior: -New carpet -New door cards -New dash -Original gauges (clock still works!) -Fresh recovered bench seat -New OEM rosewood steering wheel -Tinted glass -Original radio still intact, but DOES NOT WORK! -Kicker Comp RT sound system w/ aux & iphone 4 connections (two boxed subs behind the seats, & two Kenwood speakers under the dash) -All electricals work (minus original radio) The only two things that do not work on this car are the original radio, and the speedometer due to a stripped gear. Because of the stripped gear, the speedo randomly comes on and off. A stripped speedo gear is not a big deal, and I WILL TRY TO FIX THIS MYSELF BEFORE THE LISTING ENDS!! This car is incredibly reliable. I've made several trips from Austin to Dallas and back in this car, and have taken it all over central Texas for car shows. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car to California. Paypal only!! (potential local buyers must have cash) Buyer is responsible for shipping!!! If this car does not sell on eBay, it will be taken to the Mecum Auction in Houston in April. If you have any questions about the car, feel free to message me! I'm more than happy to help. Happy bidding!
