I purchased this 1966 Beetle back on 8/12. The car was professionally painted and all the interiors were done as well (seats, carpet and ceiling) The car has its original engine but my mechanic worked on the brakes, electrical system and overall maintenance. The electrical system was redone in order to have 12 amps. Now the car starts right away and all features that need electricity run much better. The beetle has a new set of tires and the bumpers were just redone (chrome) The car still needs some work on the following areas: The accelerator pedal needs to be installed (I purchased the pedal, but it is missing a clip) The wipers turn on but they don't complete a full swing. When turn on, one wiper goes one way and the other goes the opposite way. The passenger's door doesn't close as it should, you have to try at least twice. I believe both doors need to be properly aligned so they may close on the first try. Also, the rubber liner throughout the car needs to be worked on, since water will come inside the vehicle when it rains. The stop lights don't turn on. I encourage any interested buyers to have someone inspect the car. I'm not a expert on this field nor a full time mechanic. The car runs well, I drive it during weekends and only in short distances since I live on a small community. The dashboard is all original, all gauges and AM radio work well.
