Price: US $21,500.00 SOLD OUT
This is a nice low-mileage car with great compression. It zips up the hills here in San Francisco. I have lovingly maintained this car. I bought this vehicle on eBay about 10 years ago. The seller then told me he bought it from a woman who'd had it garaged after her husband's death. That seller added Weber carbs . He also added an after-market radio/CD-player which is in the glove box, with speakers in the well behind the seats.. In the 10 years since I've had the car, I've put about 2,000 miles on it, solely for weekend cruising. I replaced the clutch three years ago and just replaced the fuel pump. I keep it well-tuned at a vintage British car shop. I added billet pedals. I replaced the trunk lock, so it is fully lockable and added new seals for the trunk. All instruments and lights, wipers and wiper spray are fully functional. I run this only on Chevron 89 octane gas with occasional fill-ups with 87. I have never used a lead substitute. Chevron issued a report that its unleaded gas does not require any additives to avoid deteriorating the non-hardened valve lifters in vintage cars. So, Chevron only. Mobil 1 maintained. In addition to the boot cover, which matches the interior, there is a black tonneau cover . All snaps and studs are present. Perfect for weekend trips when you want to cover the interior but leave the top down. Plus it looks so cools when you drive around with the passenger side covered. This car has original paint. So, there are a couple of minor blemishes (you need to look real close to see them). The convertible top is functional, but the liner has some cosmetic issues and if you intend to spend time driving with the top up, you probably want to replace it. Interior is in great shape. A true story. I was parked outside of a grocery store and started the engine. A homeless guy walked up to me and said "Wow, that engine sounds great. Do you have Weber carbs?" My jaw dropped. I said yes, and handed him 5 bucks. So why am I selling this?. Garage rents are through the roof here in SF, and I just can't justify paying a lot to keep a car I drive just a few times a year.
