Professionally built Arntz-Butler Cobra in excellent condition. Completed in 1983. The car was built entirely on a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette chassis and running gear (suspension, transmission, solid rear axle, brakes, A-arms etc) -all from a 1957 Chevrolet donor car. Axle (factory 12 bolt 3.36 ratio), transmission - Borg Warner four speed transmission from the same 1957 Corvette. The engine is a 1967 Corvette 327/300 with a mild cam and an offenhauser intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor. New brakes including master cylinder and wheel cylinders all around. English Jaeger gauges and authentic badging throughout. Rock solid throughout and very simple/basic with no computers or senors to worry about. The car was repainted in 1992 and it looks excellent. Very drivable car that is loads of fun. Lights, gauges, turn signals etc all work as they should. Dimensionally Arntz was known for building replicas as close to the original AC concept as possible. I bought this car for its simplicity, ridigity, dive-ability and Chevrolet frame and running gear (sorry Ford guys). It's super reliable and replacement parts are inexpensive and available everywhere. Thinning car collection out. I'm 57 and time to say goodbye to some of my cars.
