Hello, You are bidding on one 1963 Ford Thunderbird. These particular model was produced on the lincoln line during the pinnacle of American style and wealth. John Kennedy had one and the "Bullet Bird" model is quickly getting traction among collectors. The prices are starting to rise and some of the numbers matching models can reach the 30k+ range if wearing the right options. This particular Blue Bird is called Caldonia. Caldonia was found sitting in an orchard in Ramona California in the spring of 2014 and has spent the last year getting straightened out. The Autolite 4100 carb has just been rebuilt, fuel pump replaced, lines blown out, gas tank replaced with a new repro unit. The front shocks have been replaced with new. The headliner replaced, dash upgraded with all LED lighting. The radio works nicely, windows work nicely and only the blinkers need a new flash unit. The power brakes work quite well with no squeeking. Wipers work well but need new blades. All glass is clear with no scratches. Suspension doesnt knock or creak. The tires are brand new Coker Wide whites ($750) with less than 15 miles on them. The car runs nice and smooth but there is a knock. It is barely perceptible but when it gets warm you can hear it faintly. Also the power steering has a leak that will need sorting. In a case such as this where the car has a large potential cash value and pounds of history driving it as is would not be fitting a car that deserves respect. It is not a "beater". The interior is very clean with nothing missing except a mirror. Some cracks here and there but it is exceptionally comfortable and presentable. Truth be told, the wife and I need either a 4 door or a wagon (1968 or older) as we are gonna need the room. Please feel free to ask any questions! NOTE. This is a 50 year old automobile. It has flaws and needs love. If you are looking for showroom condition go to a dealer and pay the 15 thousand+ dollars. Caldonia will require a home of rehabilitation. Cheers!
