Ultra rare 1962 Ford Unibody SHORT BED BIG WINDOW pick up truck. A hard to find low rust DESERT TRUCK! Ford unibody trucks were produced for only 2 1/2 years, 1961-1963. They are highly desired by hot rodders and collectors for their unique and attractive body lines and versatility hot rod-ability. This truck was chosen by a dedicated collector for its EXCELLENT DESERT CONDITION for restoration in his custom car shop and personally hauled from the desert to Arlington WA. However, we have too many projects and need to thin the herd. Now is your chance to own a really good candidate for restoration. This truck is an excellent candidate for restoration because the body is relatively rustfree. The only rust on it is because it was stored outdoors in Las Vegas with a broken passengers side window allowing moisture into the passenger side cab floor. The steps are solid as well as the front of the bed where most examples are soft and rusty. The pictures shown in this ad have rust color only because Washington is a wet place! It is surface rust only and will clean up nicely. Otherwise it is virtually rust free and in remarkably straight condition. It comes with a replacement passengers side rear window making the truck complete. It has been converted to what we believe is a 390 V8 which was running when parked.
