Listed here for auction is my 1972 Dodge Challenger. I bought this car from an older gentleman in Pungo, VA who had it set up as a drag car. Since I have had it, I have taken the engine and transmission out of it (440/727, non matching numbers as the car is originally a 318). I basically took the car down to a roller and then I had it sandblasted and sprayed with epoxy primer; work was done by reputable local company, Precision Powder Coating, Inc. I am putting the car up for sale because it took a back seat to my wedding preparations for so long that I have simply lost the love for it. This is a project car, don't be fooled. When I originally bought it I underestimated it and didn't quite grasp what it takes to break a car down to its bare bones, and then bring it back to live. My loss is your gain; the car DESERVES to be owned by someone who has the time, money, and expertise to bring her back to life. I will answer what I can about the car, though I don't know much of its history. I have a little bit of documentation from the former owner, here is what I know: -Engine: 440, 509 cam, 906 heads (I have never heard the engine run, but it turns) -3.90 posi in a 8 3/4 -3,500 stall -No gas tank -Interior: Both front seats, with back bench seat. Also have both door panels and rear panels, as well as window glass (No front or rear windshield glass) -I also have brand new sheetmetal from AMD. (L/R Trunk Floor Extensions, Deck Lid w/o Spoiler Holes, L/R Trunk Gutters, Full OE Style Trunk Floor, Deck Filler Panel) I will answer any more questions that I can. Happy bidding!
