Price: US $60,000.00 SOLD OUT
This Coupelet was purchased in 1916 by Hans Fredrickson of Granite falls, MN. In 1932 Merrill Hansen bought it from Mrs Fredrickson and he lovingly cared for the car for 75 years until I purchased the car in 2008. Other than a paint job in 1970 (I have since scuffed the paint so the patina matches the rest of the car) this car has never been restored and has its original top and interior still in place and very serviceable after an incredible 99 year existence. Note the flag decal that has survived intact for 99 years. It is visible in the period photo with the original owners. Photo history and service records included with this car. Every piece right down to the valve stem covers is correct and authentic. All original sheet metal and wood. Doors open and close nicely. This car has never been left outside and it is rock solid. Starts and runs nicely. Accessory clock also works perfectly. Goes down the road very well. Headliner has a few tears and tatters but still shows its green color as when new. Has all the rare 1916 parts still in place right down to the ford script breather cover used in 1916 only. Has Andersen timer and Kevlar bands installed by me a few years ago. One of the reasons I jumped at the chance to own this car was that I was restoring a basket case Coupelet at the time. Now that project is complete I can't justify keeping them both. These are the rarest and most desirable of all the Model T body styles. It is wider, more comfortable and much fancier than other types of Model T Ford. The windows store inside the suicide doors and the top can be folded to make it a true convertible. Only a few thousand were made. Estimates project about fifty surviving examples worldwide. After thirty years in this hobby I know of only a handful in private hands and I am aware of only one other example in this type of highly preserved condition. Send me a message and I would be glad to discuss this car by phone or show it off in person. Pickup in southern Minnesota. Rolling history just does not get any better than this, good luck.
