I purchased this car with the intention of restoring it but will not have the time and resources to do so. It is a convertible which a friend of mine drove to his California desert property where he has a bunch of cars and never got around to it. I had the opportunity to purchase it and it doesn't seem I will get to it either. The pictures you are seeing of the parts on the shelves are the fenders, the convertible top mechanism along with the fenders and bumpers. the car has a motor but i have not tested it. the pan does not have any rust holes and the doors are solid when you try to lift on them in the open position meaning the pillars are solid. I have completely restored at least 10 vw bugs pan off from the ground up and this is a great candidate for that or just a quickie depending on your resources . it has a small wrinkle in the front clip when you lift the hood that could be pulled or clipped again depending on your resources. The spare tire still fits great so no major either way. If you are local please feel free to come by garden grove and check it out. If you are not local I can answer most questions about the typical things people are looking for in a car like this. I put brand new tires on this so that transportation will not be an issue and the title is clean clear and the registration current. The car has the California blue plate but I only have the rear plate. If the car stays in California this is good if it goes out of state your state will require new plates.
