Car was purchased 5 years ago at an estate sale with 62,000 miles on it. Currently it just turned 72,000 original miles with all gauges and OD working perfectly. Drives amazing, all power elements are in working order with automatic climate control. Vacuum Air lock door system have been repaired and working. Automatic transmission shifts perfectly and the engine is strong. Its been served since the day it was purchased at Phil's Service in Clifton, NJ who have been working on benz's since 1972. We have a book of receipts beyond $6000 in repairs/maintenance. Original AMG Front air dam which is definitely a unicorn piece, european bumpers front and rear, european glass OEM headlights have been fitted on the car giving hit a unique look. The original stereo was replaced with an Alpine unit that has bluetooth and ipod integration with CD player. Mechanically we fitted a new radiator, changed all fluids, water pump, thermostat, drive belts, and oil change. Front window seal was replaced as well. This car is ready to get in and drive. It does need work, and that work is all body on her. The rocker panels have rust and will need to be cut out and repaired. My parents have been working on the house and don't have the time to drop her to the autobody for repair. Plus we just were handed down our grand-parents XJ6 from late 70s which is more a family heirloom. She needs to find a good home, it kills us to think that it will be used for parts because she drives so well. If your going to repair it would hurt to give her a fresh coat and just enjoy this classic Benz. Still a major head-turner to this day. My mother drives her 10 miles a week back and forth to work. No problem if you have questions just ask. The car is currently listed on Craigslist locally as well as the W116 Forums.
