For sale - 1929 Ford rat rod styled truck. A great cruiser that draws a lot of attention where ever you drive. Has a rat rod look, however it is built on a commercially manufactured square tube frame with new suspension components. Front end is a speedway dropped tube axle with a traverse leaf spring, friction shocks, and disc brakes, rear suspension has coil over shocks and drum brakes. Power comes from a 292 chevy straight six, turbo 350 transmission, and s10 rear end. HEI ignition system, dual two barrel carburetors w/electric choke, Offy intake manifold, dual cast iron exhaust headers, fuel pump, and water pump where new when truck was built. Driven about 1300 miles since built about 3 years ago. The truck starts up easy, runs great and doesn't smoke; like a lot of six cylinder engines. The original steel cab is in decent shape, doors have had lower panels replaced and new rear cab corners were put in. Cab has been chopped 4 inches and channeled 3 inches, all wood frame work has been replaced with steel and has a full steel floor. Roof is wood covered in canvas. Doors have custom bear claw latches operated via push down release in top sill, doors do not currently have window glass installed. Interior is heat insulated and covered with wood panels and rubber floor matting. Stewart Warner gauges are all electric sender type, speedo, tach, volt, fuel, oil pressure, and temperature, all are lit wings style gauges. Automatic 350 trans is shift by a tall style Lokar shifter. The headlights have halogen conversion, tail lights are led and rear "STOP" light all work. Has a commercial hot rod wiring harness with blade fuses. The bed was custom fabbed to fit trucks dimensions. Under the wood bed is the fuel tank which is filled through a trap door in the bed. Bias ply tires are true wide white wall (not porta walls). This hot rod is a blast to drive and cruise to driven shows, take out Saturday nights, etc. Please note - This is a hot rod and does have any warranty or guarantees of any kind. Truck can be driven easily by me at 5' 11" and is not cramped, but not what you would consider spacious. Has a clean AZ state title, titled as 1929 Ford A A, vin# is stamped on front frame rail. If sold to an AZ resident 1929 plate can be transferred and go with purchase.
