TIMELESS CLASSIC 1965 FORD THUNDERBIRD HARDTOP Up for sale is this beautiful numbers matching ’65 Ford Thunderbird painted in a 2-stage vintage burgundy. Current owner (since 2010) has spared no expense in making this classic a fun to drive and dependable car to own (See the list below). Floor pans and frame are solid. All of the work listed below was performed approximately 2 years ago and the car has been driven less than 2,000 miles since it was completed. All of the chrome is original and in good to excellent condition. Please look at all of the photos carefully. Present owner has never abused the car or taken it out in any inclement weather. Car is being offered for sale due to personal reasons. The first and original owner purchased the car new and had it painted approximately 10 years ago. The factory color was Ivy Green Metallic. Little to no body work was necessary. The interior is 100% original (except for the T-Bird floor mats) and the only wear is a small tear in the stitching on the driver’s seat (see photo). Everything works including all of the dash lights, radio, A/C, horn, etc. The only guage that does not work is the clock. T’Bird still retains the unique “tilt and swing a way†steering column too. All of the electric windows go up and down without any issue. All of the glass is original and in good condition. The only small scratch (not a crack) is on the lower portion of the windshield (see photo). New trunk mat and spare tire covers along with weather stripping and drains. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Original 390 cu. in. / 300 h.p. and 2-speed Ford-O-Matic Crankshaft was turned .010†and new bearings were installed. Oil pressure is strong and steady. A/C unit was totally over hauled and uses the new refrigerant. New Pertronix ignition The following items were replaced: Power Steering pump Fuel pump and lines Hood insulation All freeze plugs and seals Radiator Water pump Rebuilt Carburetor Motor mounts Oil pan and gaskets All hoses Windshield washer system and bag New Battery Transmission was serviced New shift linkage SUSPENSION All new front end parts Ball joints Pitman arm Bushings Tie rods Shocks New Brakes including lines, shoes and all hardware, power brake booster Rear springs have been re-arched and an additional leaf has been added to each side.
