Price: US $35,000.00 SOLD OUT
It's a superb condition 67 GTO. Vin # 242077P164779. Assembled in Pontiac, Michigan in November 67, she was first sold at Weisbrod Chevrolet in Liberty, Indiana. Its was restored about 15 years ago. No holes in the body and virtually no rust. Frame is very solid, wheel wells are like new. Trunk and engine compartment have no rust at all. She's a 4 speed with the Hurst shifter and got the Pontiac 400 V8. Transmission and engine are not matching numbers. The original 3 speed transmission was replaced with a 4 speed, which, I think, makes it more fun to drive. It also got the Quadrajet 4 BBL carburetor. The previous owner installed headers which makes the engine sound very good at high revs. The paint is not original, the car was originally burgundy red. The paint job is excellent, a few very minor defects in a few spots but nothing noticeable. Its overall a very nice looking paint job. I got lots of detailed pictures I can provide on demand. The general electrical system of the vehicle would eventually need to be looked at. My take is that the guy who restored it before me didn't rebuild the electrical system according to GM's specs, hence a few bugs. First there is a small drain on the battery. I solve the problem by disconnecting it when its parks for a long time. The other electrical thing is the dashboard which is not connected. I'm not an expert with those things so I didn't want to thinker with it but I think that it can be easy to fix for someone who's more knowledgeable. Also, I bought it with both lower back chrome plates missing. I never got to find some and install them on but I'm sure its not complicated to do. It doesn't really affect the overall look of the car anyway. But that being said, everything else on the GTO works great. Even all four electric windows work like a charm. The only thing I've done on the car since I own it is to replace the starter. The old one was getting a bit tired. The engine now starts like a charm! I have all the PHS documents coming with the car. Its a great car and I'm sad to see it go, its very fun to drive, got lots of torque and attracts lots of attention. Whenever we take her out for a spin, it became a tradition to take bets on the number of 'thumbs-up' we will get along the way!
