1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible. This 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible was originally sold by Carlson Oldsmobile in St. Louis, Missouri. Since being sold to the original owner, this well-preserved, and fully documented convertible has spent its life in the St. Louis area. It is now being offered for sale by its third owner. The 1975 Delta 88 Royal Convertibles are considered quite rare, as there were only 7,181 made and had a base selling price of about 5,200.00. Oldsmobile discontinued convertible production at the end of 1975 and did not build convertibles until the Cutlass in 1990, making this example particularly desirable. The mileage shown on this example is just under 47,000, which, upon close inspection, appears to be original. The car is well equipped with many factory accessories and options including power windows, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and AM/FM radio. The body is excellent throughout. There are no signs of any damage or repair. Radio is not playing at this time. The doors, hood and trunk lid fit the body with even gaps and margins throughout. The exterior white paint is in excellent condition with showing only the most minimal signs of wear. It really presents well with an even, overall gloss. On this inside, interior is extremely clean and presentable, including the seats, door panels, carpets and dashboard. The original 350 V-8 engine starts easily, idles well and easily powers the car down the road at highway speeds. The Hydramatic transmission shifts smoothly, the brakes are responsive and the steering is precise. Mechanically, this car is ready to use and enjoy. It has recently been serviced and fitted with a new battery.
