Own a part of history This 1929 roadster was built in 1982 by John Thawley for the Buick Motor Division to be used as a concept promotional vehicle, promoting Buick's aftermarket performance parts. John is the author of many street rod books, one being "How to build a Repro Rod", showing Junior Johnson on the cover with John. The car is also on the inside cover of Jim Ruggles, "Buick Performance Guide", and on page 67 of Buick Perfomamce Years. This roadster is in excellent condition with only 13,927 miles, and is part of Buick's legendary performance history. The car is from the estate of a top executive for General Motor Corp. The car was purchased by Mr. Gary Dickerson, after the four-year public relations campaign was over. He purchased the car in 1986 and it remained in his collection until 2014. Specially-prepared 4.1L. Buick V6, using many of the heavy-duty parts. GM TH350 transmission. Both items were new when placed in the Roadster. TCI chassis, 4" drop Super Bell front axle, Mustang steering installed with 4-bar set up, this eliminates bump-steer. 8" ford Mustang rear with ladder bar setup. Body by Polyform, bodywork by "Magoo", Paint by Paul Bonanti, Pin Striping by Sam McFarland, Upholstery by Lance Troupe, and Ron Francis wiring. Deposit of $500 dollars into pay pal account, balance due in 7 day, unless other arrangements are made. Full payment must clear before car is released. There is no warranty.
