He purchased the car from the original owner in 1958. The original owner bought the car in LA and lived in Arrowhead. He was a school teacher there. This car was in the dry climate of Palm Springs since 1958. The top assembly retains it's original chrome luster. The mileage is reported to be 18000 miles although it's hard to believe. The car was channeled in 1960 and has a 1959 Cadillac with Tri-Power installed. The transmission is a 4 speed hydro. This car has not been started for years. All of the hard pieces characteristic to the convertible sedan are there. The instrument panel is complete including the wheel and horn button. The grille is perfect... no pitting whatsoever. The rear window and garnish moldings are there (see images). The car cosmetically is missing the hood ornament, the rear license plate bracket, one rear lens and a side mount cover. Unfortunately the interior was gutted to lower the car and those items are not there. The integrity of the metal is outstanding. The wood is loose. This would be the ultimate streetrod project. All seven window mechanisms are operational. The car has a Clear California title. I would deliver the car to the shipper in the Los Angeles area.
