Price: US $15,000.00 SOLD OUT
I previously listed the truck in an auction in which it sold for $13,100. Unfortunately, the winning bidder backed out and could not pay for the truck. I don't really want to sell the truck. However, I can't give it the love it needs to stay in good shape. I agreed to sell for any amount over $13k. So, please, be serious about your offers over $13k as I will probably take it!!! :-) I posted the maximum amount of pictures EBAY would allow. There are more pictures at the following link:k5blazer.walshutopia.comHere are more of the details: I believe this is the original engine and transmission as the stamp on the front of the engine matches (see pictures). If you look in the additional pictures, you will find a funny looking black and orange pic of the engine block. The code on the block indicates the engine block is the original, however it has been upgraded to the 1973 HEI ignition and no longer uses the points. I put a new gas tank in the truck last year. This required buying a new tank and having the filler neck taken off of the old tank and soldered on to the new tank. There is no longer such thing as a new tank for a '72 blazer. This was the best I could do and the results turned out excellent and look factory original. The truck has an undercoating which protected it from rust seen on most K5 Blazers. From the ads I have seen, this was the biggest benefit of the CST package. So, when you look at the "rocker boxes" they are solid with no rust. The truck has a new aluminium radiator. I could not find a copper radiator that was an exact replacement, so I got an aluminum one which looks close. The truck needs some carburetor work because the float sticks and you can only start the truck if you tap the carb with a hammer. Sometimes it sticks while driving, but you just go slow until you tap it with a hammer again. The transmission has a fluid leak. The transmission shifts fine and operates normally, but the leak will run the transmission dry in about a month if it is just sitting. The paint looks like someone tried to freshen it up by putting a new coat on the truck, but it is in the original ochre yellow and matches the build sheet in the glove box.The AC does not work, but everything is there. I took off the belt to the compressor when the compressor seized up so that I could continue to drive the truck. Good luck! I hope we can find a good home for this really nice truck.
