1970 Pontiac GTO Ram Air IV This is a true numbers matching Ram Air IV GTO that needs to be restored. The body will need a left quarter panel, floor pans, trunk pans, and rear fender wells due to rust. The engine is not in the car but has been machined and ready to build. Interior - Tan color and is in fair shape. Carpet is worn, and drivers seat has tears. Headliner and dash is in great shape. Engine - Block (WW matches car vin) cleaned, and machined .040 over bored. H eads (614) cleaned with new valves/springs installed (ports never grinded on). Original aluminum intake manifold. "Arma steel" crank, new ross pistons hung on machined pontiac rods. New Ram Air IV cam in box with new lifters. I have new bearings, pushrods, and timing chain in the box. Engine has been balanced. Engine is missing carburetor, distributor, Ram Air hood components, and exhaust. Transmission - Original matching M-21 close ratio 4-speed. Rear end - Original matching 10 bolt Safe-T-Track with 390 gear ratio. Car Options: 4BBL Ram Air IV, Safe-T-TR-HD, Radio PB, STRG-WHL-C/S, PWR STRG-VAR, SPG SHKS-R/H, 4 SP CLO TRA, G70X14 WL FG, Speaker R/ST,WHLS-RALLY 2 TACH-HOOD-MT, PWR BRK-DISC. Not many of these original RAM AIR IV cars left to restore that have original drive train. This car still has original interior, paint, and has never been altered. The body needs extensive work but is fixable. The car was sold in Alaska and appears to be driven daily on poor road conditions.
