This is your chance to own an excellent example of the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This is a 1978 model, which is a highly desirable model with the later 2F engine and disc brakes. This has the super rare Fairey Overdrive unit installed that gives this FJ40 lower rpms in fourth gear for highway driving and more gears available offroad. This is a two-owner Texas truck that has been used sparingly over the last 25 years. The second owner only put 100 miles on the truck since 2012! This truck has all of the hard to find original parts and tasteful upgrades that are extremely hard to find! There is no rust on the truck, and the second owner installed the diamond plate rear covers for protection and looks, and NOT to cover rust. I have tried to show the inner fender wells and undercarriage very clearly in the photos to show there is no rust on this cruiser. This 40 is in excellent working order, I have driven it 60 mph plus on the highway after sitting in the previous owner's garage for some time. Brakes work very well and truck handles and rides excellent. Clutch is strong and transmission shifts well and four wheel engages correctly. Carburetor has been rebuilt and truck runs great. Everything electric and mechanical works as it should on this FJ40 and there are hundreds of dollars in receipts from Specter Offroad, Downey, and Toyota. The seats are in superb condition, and the fronts have custom Wet Okole seat covers. The cruiser has an upgraded stereo and rear speakers that are custom fit underneath the jump seats. Even the Toyota inspection light is present in the glove box. The owner's manual, Fairey Overdrive manual, and other Land Cruiser documents are included. The second owner was in the process of restoring the headliner in the hard top, so it was taken out to replace, but will be included. This will make someone a great daily driver or mountain vehicle, and the value will surely continue to go up for these legendary vehicles.
