Interior is beautifully redone in black textured vinyl with original button pattern seats and new ACC loop carpet. Headliner is extremely rare original perforated press board in excellent condition (because the flexible strips between the panels are impossible to find, this headliner is incredibly rare to find in this condition.) Interior door panels are in very good original condition, with some degradation of the foil "chrome" trims. Bottom portion of the panels have been refreshed with new vinyl. All metal garnish mouldings are repainted in satin black, with new fasteners throughout. Dash pad is original and in amazing condition - no tears or cracks. Sun visors are in perfect condition. Dash is as original, with factory AM radio (working). Power antenna is new and works perfectly.Mechanically, the car has been professionally serviced and runs great - new Holley 4bbl carburetor with electric choke, new Earl's Performance fuel lines, rebuilt distributor converted to Pertronix electronic ignition, new coil & wires, brake booster hose, heater hoses & hardware, & transmission service. New power steering pressure line, new Interstate battery and battery tray installed. Engine starts instantly and runs smooth and quiet. The car drives well and is on its original suspension. New tailgate seal was impossible to find so we did our best with the old one - it doesn't rattle but I would not drive this car in the rain anyway - it's too nice. I have noticed small drops of power steering fluid on the floor, looks like it's from the power cylinder. These are easy to replace or have rebuilt but I don't see myself having time to do it. All in all this is a beautiful rare Mercury that is ready to drive and show. These don't come up for sale very often so thanks for your interest and good luck bidding!
