Drove the car from Texas to Michigan and then began mechanical restoration work (completed by third parties), including: Engine rebuilt/painted New engine mounts Transmission rebuilt/painted (new lines), Power steering rebuilt, Front end rebuilt, Carburetor rebuilt, Fuel pump rebuilt, Radiator rebuilt, Water pump rebuilt, Starter rebuilt, Generator rebuilt, All new belts and hoses, Fuel lines, clamps and filters replaced, Oil pressure switch replaced New rear drum brakes, Disc brakes (an option on the original car) installed in front Master cylinder/rod replaced, Hood stops replaced, Under hood insulation replaced, Dash bulbs replaced, Turn signal lights replaced/wiring repaired, Master window switches and wiring replaced, Exhaust system replaced with stainless including aluminized muffler and resonator, Wiper motor, switch and washer pump replaced, Blower motor assembly replaced, Tires replaced, A/c retro kit installed, Rear shocks replaced, Headlight switch replaced, Front wheel bearing cones (inner and outer) installed, Front and rear radio speakers replaced, Retro radio with blue tooth installed (power antenna switch now in glove box), original radio didn't work great but will come with car, Top with glass window including a new weather strip kit installed, Boot replaced, Carpet in trunk including spare tire cover replaced Very minor surface rust behind front wheels, body not perfect--see pictures, older repaint, original interior--no rips. New quarter body side molding with clips and DeVille script with car but not installed. Consider the cost of acquiring a car with a solid body and bringing it to a mechanical condition to enjoy. Runs great on the highway but most enjoyable on the back roads with the top down!
