This 1958 Morgan Plus 4 is finished in ivory over green and powered by a replacement Triumph inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Modifications are limited to a high-torque starter, heavy-duty stainless steel fuel tank, and aluminum valve cover. The car was purchased in 2017, and new door hinges have since been installed. Prior to our purchase, the car was a long-time California car. This Plus 4 is offered with a soft top and side curtains, two tonneau covers, a Morgan Chassis Record, assorted literature, and a clean Alabama registration in the seller’s name. The car underwent cosmetic refurbishment approximately 16 years ago under previous ownership in California, with the work including a repaint in ivory. External mirrors are present on both front fenders and the driver’s side of the windshield. Chrome knock off 15″ wire wheels wear Remington tires at all four corners and on the rear-mounted spare. This car is equipped with a tan convertible top and boot, side curtains, and two tonneau covers. The original 4-spoke banjo steering wheel sits ahead of a wood dashboard containing a tachometer, 110-mph speedometer, and combination instrument showing amperage and fuel level as well as oil and water temperature. All instruments appear to be original and all function properly. The 5-digit odometer shows 31k miles. Actual total mileage is unknown. The Triumph four is a replacement from a later Plus 4 that was installed by a previous owner approximately 16 years ago. Shifting is via the original Moss-type 4-speed manual transmission. A complete service was performed by Morgan West of Santa Monica, California in 2017 prior to the my purchase. The Morgan Chassis Record is included and shows the car’s initial configuration. Assorted literature and a People’s Choice car show award are included in the sale. I am selling this the Morgan on behalf of my 81-year-old father who, unfortunately, cannot easily get in and out of the car.
