Price: US $10,000.00 SOLD OUT
RARE 1979 Cadillac Seville OperaCoupe. 60K Miles. These cars were modified when new by GrandeurMotorcar Corp of Pompano Beach, FL. Theytook a standard 1979 Cadillac Seville, lengthened the hood and engine bay, removed the back seat and converted it to a roadster. This was their take on the pre-warDuesenberg-type sports cars of the 1930âs. As such, this will not have the value of an unmodified originalvehicle. It appeals to collectors whoenjoy unique vehicles that theyâre not afraid to drive. Itâs a fun car, handles great, and getsthumbs ups from strangers everywhere I go. I hate to sell this, but the city denied my permit application to build another garage. I already haveother cars. I don't like to leave a nice vehicle outdoors, so am listing it for sale here.MECHANICAL - Just passedinspection and is mechanically sound. Ithas been driven enough to not have the problems of a car that sits. AC blows cold. New radiator. New front calipers, pads, brake hoses and master cylinder. I added a stiffer front sway bar to decreasethe body roll that was so common in 70âs cars. This, combined with the engine sitting further back than a regular carmakes for excellent handling. The fuelinjection on the Seville was legendary for its problems â this has beenreplaced with a carburetor by a previous owner. Nice white wall tires with less than 2,000 miles. COSMETIC - This is not showroomcondition. It does not have a new car feel, but itâs very nice for a 41 year old vehicle. Itwas repainted by a previous owner It has two very small paint chips, but no bubbling, and zero body rust. No glasscracks. Bumper fillers areexcellent. Wire wheels have some surfacerust, but very minor. Leather seats havebeen re-finished and look fantastic. Newvinyl roof.PROBLEMS â 1) Headlight bezels havesome cracks at the corners (common on 70âs cadiâs). 2) The electric seat motors do not work. You will not find them ANYWHERE. Iâd suggest replacing them with genericmechanical sliders when you have the carpet switched out. 3) The radio sucks â it was replaced at somepoint and is not the original. 4) Radioauto antenna will not go up and down. Iwould suggest adding your own stereo system and antenna. EXTRAS INCLUDED â I have a newdash cover, molded auto carpet, a great set of embroidered Cadillac floor mats, and a roll of matching carpet for extra projects. These have not been installed yet. I was planning on installing these, but withthe hard decision to sell, I will include these to the lucky buyer.Shipping is not included, but ifyou want shippers to bid on transport, I have had good luck in the past withuShip. Once again, I hate to sell this, but I donât have the space and donât like keeping it outdoors. Good luck bidding.
