For sale is a 1975 International Harvester Scout II 4 x 4. This vehicle has been cared for extensively since being bought from the original owner in 1994. Engine is the V8 IH-345 and was rebuilt at 66,000 miles and now has approx. 55,000 more on the engine â odo. ticked over at 100,000 and now reads 21,072. Oil changed every 3,000 miles meticulously. Engine runs strong and idles well. Transmission is the A727 3-speed automatic and shifts smoothly. Vehicle has power steering and A/C has been converted from R12 to R134a and was very recently recharged. Original hard top was removed and replaced with a soft top. Also added on during ownership was a Davis Unified Ignition distributor. Additionally, the following work was done in the last 1.5 years (most since summer of â13): -New upholstery â floors and seats - sandstone colored -New brown custom soft top from Softopper.com in Boulder, Colorado -New tires â front and rear - Ironman Radial A/P 31 x 10.50 -New wheels â front and rear -Newly replaced and rebuilt leaf springs, shocks, and 4â lift kit â Rough Country from Scoutparts.com -New discs in the front brakes, new drums in the rear -New master cylinder -Refurbished radiator -New header gaskets -New carburetor -Many wires and hoses replaced during repairs -New exterior paint (finer details of job were unfortunately not completed fully, but the vehicle is painted completely) -Mirrors replaced on both sides Vehicle also has an aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM/CD deck installed as well as front and rear Kenwood speakers (replaced in 1999, so a bit dated now). Steering wheel is also aftermarket. The dashboard was sprayed with textured paint some years prior to more closely match the green exterior paint. Currently, the vehicle is without floor mats after having the carpet replaced. No longer have the time with school and work to keep working on restoration and am planning a move in the near future, so my loss is your gain.
