Fully restored and ready to spend its life in a museum or taking you to the local car show. The motor was completely rebuilt by a highly experienced and long running machine shop and engine builder. The transmission was 100% refurbished by a well known and respected transmission shop with great reviews. The body was cleaned up, any dents or dings repaired properly, all surface issues were taken care of, prepped, sanded, primed and painted. This car was disassembled, all parts were cleaned, inspected, restored or replaced. The primary focus was to use original parts whenever possible, dealer parts after that, with OEM or better substitutions only as necessary. Every inch of this vehicle was touched, inspected, cleaned and reassembled.The interior has had the same attention to detail. The original seats and door panels have been reupholstered, new carpet with KILMAT underneath to help with sound protection. The dash has been recovered and gauges with tach (not wired) have been refurbished. Headliner is in excellent condition. Moving to the bed you see the infamous rear seats in excellent condition (mounting is up to the new owner). YES this truck has legal rear seats in the bed! When this vehicle was first imported Subaru installed rear facing seats to make this vehicle a passenger vehicle. This was due to the "Chicken tax" that was imposed to imported trucks at the time. This BRAT is front wheel drive all the time with four wheel drive on demand. This vehicle starts and drives very nice with the transmission working well and the four wheel drive system working as it should. It has brand new BFG tires on powder coated original 8 spoke steel wheels.
