Price: US $19,300.00 SOLD OUT
From the estate of a respected Connecticut collector is this solid original 1941 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet. It was owned by the family for over 50 years and the last brother from the family died this winter, I was given this car to sell. It is amazingly solid and complete. The engine was rebuilt but never put back in the car. It also has a new clutch. We put the engine in but have not assembled it entirely and obviously have not made it run. The underside and sheet metal are surprisingly solid. here is surface rust on the trunk floor. All of the rest of this '41 Lincoln is solid original. It was last registered in the early 1970's and has been in dry indoor non-climate controlled storage since. The collection had many Duesenbergs, custom coachbuilt Chryslers, Packards and other Grand Classics. Most were sold off years ago but this Lincoln and a couple of Packards remained. The Packards were sold off earlier this year and the Lincoln was put back together for sale. This car is complete including trim and incredibly solid. The underside is excellent with no rust or repairs on it. The sheet metal is also very good. This car could be given a careful restoration or used as a donor for a custom. The original 12 cylinder engine was rebuilt by the owner prior to his death but never assembled or put back in the car. We have mounted the engine and have all the parts with it but have not made any attempt to have it run. We can deliver to the port for any overseas buyer. I have many more pictures, please just ask and I can email in high resolution to you. Thanks and good luck. john 860-883-3998
