Vehicle Details Beautiful 1951’ Mercury 2 Door Coupe Custom Lead Sled!! Only 1902 miles since it was built, gets attention everywhere she goes!! Powered by a low mileage (only 10,000 miles) modern Lincoln Mark 4.6 double overhead cam motor with an automatic overdrive trans. Engine has modern fuel injection and the car is equipped with factory Lincoln wiring so it can be plugged into a scan tool should any issues arise with the fuel injection. The front suspension is setup with a Fat Man front frame with power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes, and the rear suspension is setup with a poise super slide rear springs with a Ford 9 inch rear end. Body modifications include a beautifully chopped top, a 1950 rear window conversion, custom 49’ grill, LTD tail lights, power antenna that lowers flush with the quarter panel, a lot of time was taken doing these mods especially to the vent windows and quarter windows because they still open up, very rare for chop top cars. The wheels have moon spun alluminum wheel covers with white wall tires. Car has a nice grey interior with no rips or tears and has a 60/40 split bench seat with fold down arm rest. The dash in this car is very nice with its moon gauge cluster, tilt steering and was autographed by “George Barris†on the glove box at the big block car show. This car has won several awards including the world of wheels in Boston. Cars paint is in excellent condition except for one spot on the passenger side door where it’s starting to bubble. All the pin striping on the Merc was done free hand by Tom Kelly and really makes the flames stand out. Also have the fender skirts that go with the car.
