@import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto); Vehicle Details The time has come to part with my beloved brown bus. I finished an epic 6 month, 10 state, 11k mile road trip around the western US last summer but sadly it's time to get a more family oriented vehicle and move on.It's a 1979 T2 camper van conversion with only 152k miles. 4 speed manual transmission, fuel injected, pancake engine, pop top (all the way, not angled like the Westfalias). The van runs perfectly, I've invested significant resources into keeping it running well, including a tune up after returning from our extended road trip. I would be surprised if there is any part in the engine bay that hasn't been replaced or repaired since I purchased it. I have every single repair record/receipt going back to the 90s, some highlights include:- rebuilt engine installed June 2018 at 125k miles- new clutch kit- brand new catalytic converter- external oil cooler (was there when purchased)- passenger seat swivels backwards to face main cabin- new window seals and vapor barriersThe Buslab in Berkeley did a full inspection on the vehicle in December and it has been barely driven since then, so I can send the results of that to you and you are welcome to call them and ask about the work done on it as they've been working on it for the past 6 years. In addition to the mechanical repairs, my girlfriend and I rebuilt the inside in preparation for our road trip. Some highlights:- fits a queen mattress- Camping/kitchen/living storage space (enough for us to live in it for 6 months comfortably), including custom cabinet with pull out table- 75 Ah auxiliary battery with solar charging system (2000W inverter, 12V outlets, USB chargers) that powers Dometic 55L fridge perfectly- magnetic SmartShield reflective insulation window covers- matching serape door panels and privacy curtainsIf interested in the camper van setup, including anything above, we can provide you with gear (cargo net, storage drawers and containers, etc.) for an extra cost.If you're not interested in any of the stuff we did and want to do your own interior it can all be easily removed with a screw gun.As you can see parts of the interior and exterior are beat up. I decided to put all my efforts into making it run reliably and didn't do as much cosmetic work. That should be all that's left to do to end up with a brand new bus (relatively speaking).I live in Kenwood, feel free to call/email to setup a time to check it out. Possibly willing to deliver it somewhere on the West Coast if needed.$20,000 OBO Images Download the eBay Motors app
