For sale is a 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 in very good condition. 4 speed manual transmission. Includes the hard to find hardtop (fits great with all new seals around windows), tonneau cover, Soft Convertible Top (one bracket needs repair - see photo) and an All-Weather Car Cover. Upgrades include a new interior carpet set installed 2 years ago, Weber downdraft carbeurator, intake and exhaust manifolds, Holley fuel pressure regulator, lowered front springs for better handling and Miata seats for improved comfort and safety (I have the original seats I will include but not in the best condition). I have a trunk full of extras (mirrors, visors, distributor caps, suspension parts and a lot of extra door/window seals). A binder is included with receipts and a ton of information for working on this car. Car was resprayed just before I purchased it 10 years ago (currently Carmine Red), Very solid car with the normal paint chips, dings but still looks awesome. The only real flaws are the left rear quarter panel has some damage (my fault - backed my Jeep into it) which should be an ease fix as well as the right bonnet handle broke off. See` photos as I tried to show the good and the damaged areas. Car does need a new fuel pump so it doesn't currently start (will need to be towed or a flatbed - or bring a fuel pump and I'll give you a hand installing it). It was my daily driver until a year ago when I stored it. This car has always been garaged since I purchased it. This car is very quick and handles like a dream. I hate to sell it but my Jeep Cherokee needs work done. This car draws a lot of attention as I get compliments everywhere I go. Odometer reads 97,285 but I can't guarantee that to be exact as the first thing I did after buying is put a speedometer cable in as it didn't have one. Clean title in hand as this vehicle is owned by me! Hard to find a Spitfire with this many extras!This vehicle is sold for pickup only in Springfield, Illinois.
