1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is located in California, where refurbishment began in 2017. The vehicle has been refinished in metallic gray over a black interior, and a fuel-injected five-liter V8 from a Fox-body Mustang has been installed along with a four-speed automatic transmission. Other features include 16″ wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, tinted glass, air conditioning, a stereo, and a folding rear seat. The car has been refinished in metallic gray and features tinted glass, quarter louvers, aftermarket headlights, sequential taillights, and dual exhaust outlets that terminate through the rear valance. Silver and black 16″ Magnum 500–style wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/55 rear Falken Sincera SN250 A/S tires, which show a mix of 2017 and 2020 date codes. Other equipment includes power-assisted steering and power-assisted disc brakes front and rear. The interior features standard bucket seats and a folding rear bench with black vinyl upholstery, and new carpet, headliner, and door panels. Air conditioning, power windows, power locks, an electronic trunk-release switch, illuminated doorsills, and a Mustang-branded digital stereo have been installed. A B&M shifter also has been added. A wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column. Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. Note that the fuel gauge does not read “full†when the tank is filled. The car received a T-code 200ci inline-six from the factory, and the fuel-injected five-liter V8 is sourced from a 1991 Fox-body Mustang before being rebuilt and installed.
