Vehicle Details I purchased this 1959 Bugeye Sprite as a project, preparing it as an autocross car. As you can see,I have removed almost all of the hardware in anticipation of having the car dry blasted. All paint and rust would be removed and then primed. The hood has been removed from its hinges and sits loosely on the body. A forward tilt system was anticipated. Paint job was done by an amateur. Engine is a 1275cc with a ribbed transmission. It turns over but has not been started since the gas tank was cleaned. Wires,distributor cap,starter solenoid, master cylinder and rebuilt carbs are new. Brakes and clutch are not connected to the new master cylinder. One pic shows the equipment that will be included.seats are still in usable condition. It has the correct downflow radiator with new hoses. The Bugeye will need new floors as they are completely rusted. There are also a few external pieces that will require repair. Lower ends of cowl,part of a rocker and 6 inches behind rear wheels, and a small bop on corner of rear deck. All metal parts included were sourced from England. The doors, hood and rear deck are almost perfect and will require little attention. This project has stopped due to my recent annual physical. No auto crossing.
