Beautiful sheet metal panel work in the inside. Full race chassis. Independent front suspension coil overshock with power rack and steering. Ford 9 inch rear end strengthened. 410 rear gears with limited slip. Wilwood disc brakes all around. 15 inch centerline drag wheels on the back with Mickey Thompson Street tires. Three passenger front bench seat with seatbelts. The diagonal roll bar on each side of the front seat has been removed in order to provide easy access for street driving. The vehicle is currently registered in California for 2022 and insured by Hagerty insurance. High and low beam headlights, tail lights and brake lights as required in 1940. No blinker system. All windows are lightweight plastic as used at the dragstrip and approved for drag race at the time it was raced by NHRA. Windows are not DOT approved. The windshield wipers are for looks and do not operate. Large diameter equal length wheel well headers have been capped off and run through inch and a half dual pipes with dual mufflers that exit just before the rear end. There is a 15 gallon gas tank that is not original to the drag race build. The motor is a GM crate motor 350/330 hp small block Chevy with Vortech heads and roller cam. Typical Holley four barrel carburetor and HEI distributor. Mechanical fuel pump. Yellow heavy duty optima battery. New Crager type front wheels with new 15 inch radial tires. 15“ x 15“ tall centerline three-piece rear wheels with Mickey Thompson Street tires dated 2007.Local pick up in Berkeley California only.Cash only.
