It is a very special and rare vehicle this 1982 Delta Mini Cruiser (type RJ2B M20 CT). Built by the Filipino Delta Motor (which produced Toyota models under license) this small but efficient off-road car is an original product and not a copy of a model of the Japanese manufacturer, looking rather like a small-scale Land Cruiser FJ40. The mechanical basis is Toyota, the engine a very robust 1.6 liters (Toyota type 12R-M, version produced in the Philippines) fueled by petrol, also used on the Daihatsu Taft F20 (1587 cc, 80.5x78 mm, 69 HP at 5200 rpm. , OHV). Four-speed gearbox with two-speed reduction gear. Rigid axle suspension at the front and rear. Four-wheel drum brakes. Dimensions: length 3.64m, width 1.5m. Maximum speed 115 km / h. Seating for six. The Delta Mini Cruiser was introduced in the seventies to equip the Philippine army (developed as M-1777), then marketed in a civilian version in the countries of the Pacific area, the Middle East and some states of South America. In Europe it officially arrived only in Italy (about 500 units were sold) where it was imported by the Turin-based Plan Motor Italia (Organizzazione Graziella) and distributed by the Gandin Auto organization. The proposed model (chassis RJ-2B00 * 05077) was registered with the Imperia IM 179300 plate on 4 February 1982 (sold at the price of 12,951,000 Lire) and on 8 September 1992 it was sold in the province of Turin, thus obtaining current registration TO 41670T; It is in pretty good condition, absolutely original in every detail (also the pale green paint) and perfectly functional, with a healthy structure and no signs of accidents. Even the factory spare wheel is still unused. The only flaw is the transparent plastic of the side windows of the canvas cover which is torn and needs to be repaired; the driver’s seat show some little tears. In fact, it was used and maintained with great care.
