1979 Volkswagen Bus I’m selling this 1979 Volkswagen Bus. It runs and drives really well. It has the 2.0-liter fuel injected type 4 engine with hydraulic lifters and a 4 speed manual transmission. The odometer has just over 42k miles on it now but I assume it’s turned over at least once. I’ve owned it for about a year. I recently replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter, battery and combo relay as well as changed the oil and transmission fluid. The lights, wipers and heater all work. It has a very nice set of Hankook RA08 tires in the proper size and load rating. It starts up every time and I wouldn’t be afraid to drive it across the country. The interior is in pretty nice condition as well. It’s also equipped with a factory fitted Eberspacher BA6 gas heater. The fuel line isn’t hooked up so I didn’t try it. It looks complete and in good shape so I expect it can be made to work easily. I took the belly pan off to take a picture but it back on. Underneath this bus is in great shape the floors and battery tray are in great shape and rust free. It was originally painted Sage green over Mexico beige but was repainted a metallic brown at some point. The only substantial dents are around the right headlight and left taillight. There are a couple other small dents here and there as well. It does have some rust around the rear fender wells and the front dog legs. The rockers have some rust too but it isn’t through yet. The windshield has a couple cracks. This bus would be a great daily driver as it is or an easy project. It has a clear Colorado title. I’ve done my best to describe it accurately and honestly.
