1972 BUICK GS455 Convertible. This is 1 of 126 made and was originally Sea Mist Green. It is an older resto that is a sweet and rare driver. It runs awesome with tons of power! She has about 157600 miles but the original engine is rebuilt with about 3000 miles on rebuild. Transmission TH-400 has about 6000 miles on rebuild. Engine was rebuilt with: COMPETITION CAMS 96-202-4 HIGH ENERGY CAMSHAFTMilled Heads - Line honed block New Pistons and Rings and Bearings New Lifters New Timing Cover and Water pump New Timing Chain New Oil PumpStage 1 Fuel Pump Stage 1 800cfm carb fresh rebuildPertronix pointless ignition with new coil, plugs and wires.New Gas Tank and Fuel Lines The heater core has been replaced, along with radiator, flex fan, electric fan, alternator. I have the original parts. Most if not all of the suspension bushings have been replaced and the rear has air shocks and the rear end is now a 342 Posi. The interior has been redone and is very nice along with Retro Sound radio. The carpeting has some lightening in some areas. The body is very nice with re-chromed bumpers and only a few nicks and a scrape on he passenger rear quarter. The top works and it does have a small quarter size hole in a corner but is in great shape otherwise.The Tires are a year old and have maybe 600 miles on them. The rims are actual Buick rims. . My plans were to keep and restore to original color but I may be moving to Texas and have too much going on right now. Overall, I would say the frame is a 9,5 - very 95% solid the body a 9.5 - no bubbling or holes - Drivers Door hinge sags a bit the interior a 9.5 - seats are a 10 must carpeting in a 9 because of some lightening. the paint a 9 - I get tons of compliments on car but if I were to keep I would put back to Sea Mist Green. This would be an awesome car to fully restore to show car quality because of the low production run of 126 and the VIN proves that it is an actual GS455 Convertible with a 4 Barrel.
