Presenting a rare 1965 JeepCJ5aTuxedo Park Mark IV finished in Empire Blue with Dover White marine vinylseats pipped and stitched in Empire Blue. It has reportedly only had four owners throughout its 57 yearjourney. The first three owners enjoyed it in Pennsylvania, theprior and third owner acquired it in April 2017 and the current and fourthowner acquired it in August 2021 and brought it to New Jersey. Theodometer shows 6,652 miles, but the true mileage is unknown. The rare Tuxedo Park model, known as the Mark IV, wasproduced for four years from 1964 to 1968, making this Jeep one of 1,945produced in 1965 and7,419 total Tuxedo Park models ever produced. ThisTuxedo Park includes the original rare bench seat option, sought after foldinglicense plate bracket and chrome Tuxedo Park specific hardware, emblems andbumpers. Powered by the original powertrain, including the iconic F-134Hurricane inline four cylinder engine paired to a floor shift convertedBorg-Warner T90 manual 3 speed transmission with Warn Overdrive and a Dana 18single stick dual range transfer case. It sits on a Rough Country 2.5inchsuspension lift with steering stabilizer and 16 inch Dover White steel wheelswrapped in BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KO3 tires. Mechanical refurbishment was completedby the prior owner and the current owner completed an extensive cosmetic restoration. Mechanicalrefurbishment included new fluids, seals, gaskets, belts, battery, fuel tank,exhaust, alternator, radiator, electronic ignition, suspension and a Tightsteergear. The mechanical refurbishment was well documented by the prior owneron YouTube and Instagram, @65seejayfive. Cosmetic restoration included new metal floor pans,metal transmission hump, metal tailgate, paint, undercoating, frame coating,upholstery, carpet, steering wheel and Tuxedo Park model specific hardware,emblems and bumpers were rechromed. Inaddition, the current owner added new 12 volt windshield wipers, turn signalswitch, oil pressure gauge and fog and reverse lights.The Jeep starts, runs,shifts, stops and drives well. It has a black Bestop Supertop soft top and doors inaverage condition. The complete top, doors and all associated hardware areincluded in the sale, but will not be installed. The known flaws orfactory differences are small chips and wiper etching in the windshield, minorpaint nicks, the heater box, core and controls were removed, dash throttlecontrol was removed, replacement mirrors were installed and replacementtaillights were installed and relocated for a better look with the reverselights.
