Ford Galaxie 500 XL 2 dr hardtop. This is the formal roof version, not the fastback. This is an original Z code (390) car that has been upgraded to a completely rebuilt 428 motor. According to the previous owner the engine has been rebuilt with new main bearings, cam bearings, piston rings and rod bushings.Engine was balanced at that time. After I purchased the car I had ll new brakes (master cyl as well as all 4 wheel cylinders and shoes) installed. I had the carburetors rebuilt at that time also. I installed new front seat covers too.The previous owner stated that the car had not been driven but about one to two thousand miles since the rebuild. He put 4 new tires on at that time also. I have receipts for all of the above. The car runs well and goes straight down the road.. The car DOES NOT have power steering or brakes! The body is solid with no rust apparent. Paint is good but would probably benefit from a wet sand and buff. These big old cars with a 428 cu in motor, four speed transmission and three two barrel carburetors are getting hard to find.
