It has been cosmetically and mechanically maintained to a very high level by Fox Motorsports. It’s been driven less than 50 miles in the last 10 years and serviced annually. A comprehensive restoration was performed by the previous owner with the help of known 442 specialist Thornton Restorations in 2003-2004. The car has won the following AACA awards: First Junior National Award – 2004 in Dublin, Ohio; Senior National Award – 2004 in Asheboro, North Carolina; First Preservation Award – 2005 in Jefferson, Indiana; Repeat Preservation Award – 2005 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The 712 miles showing on the odometer are believed to be miles added since the restoration. Of special note, the underside of the trunk lid is signed by Linda Vaughn “Miss Hurst†(w/photo documentation). Included with the car is the period-correct Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual, factory brochure, photos of the car with Linda Vaughn signing the trunk, and a metal ‘Show Placard’ listing the options, etc. This Olds 442 drives extremely well and has never seen snow/salt. It’s always been stored in a climate-controlled environment (and on a battery trickle charger) when not in use. Service highlights include:-Regular detailing and other minor maintenance carried out, as needed.-11 fluid changes from 2008-2022 (oil, coolant, & brake fluid—last serviced in May of 2022).-Engine – left bank rocker arms and all push rods replaced in 2013 (to replace incorrect parts).-Dash pad refinished in 2010 (by ‘Just Dashes’).
