This stock '56 COE was dis-assembled over 20 years ago, and has been in barn storage since. As the previous owner intended to mount on a modern chassis, the original chassis, engine, ect. was scrapped many years ago. Present here is basically all of the original sheet metal, which consists of cab, hood, grille and core support assembly, front fenders, and rear cab skirts with fender extension/steps and running boards. Truck is decent for age, but does have typical dings, dents, and some rust. Little or no bondo appears to be present, but cab does have several old welded repairs which were never finished. Front floor on each side has a welded patch, as does the RH lower rear cab corner. Outer door skins on both sides have a welded patch, and inner bottom doors still have some visible rust out. Also, about 10inch of drip rail above windshield is rusted out(see pic). Roof of cab is decent, with some dents at rear. Dash is un-cut, but does have large round hole for factory tachometer(see pic), which is missing. Drivers door post and cowl side show old bends and dents. Hood is very good, and correct COE hood hinges seem to operate decently. Front fenders are very straight, but do have some rust out at front, and also at lower rear flanges. Rear cab skirts have torch marks(see pics). Fender extension/ steps, and running boards all have rust out(see pics) and will need to be re-worked. As stated, no chassis or mechanicals, no seat or tachometer, missing some other small parts for cab. Please view all pics to see what is included. Despite being incomplete, this should still be a very restorable old truck, that will make a really neat project when done. Original data plate attached, and truck comes with clear Indiana title.
