This 1962 Porsche 356B coupe is a non-running project that was partially disassembled in the early stages of a refurbishment begun prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 2020. The car is equipped with a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four and a four-speed manual transaxle.. The dashboard is finished in the original Ruby red with a brown pad and houses a heater, an analog clock, and a locking glove box with a key.The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 200-km/h speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 98k kilometers (~61k miles).Total mileage is unknown.The 1.6-liter flat-four is stamped with engine number 608490 is fitted with Zenith carburetors and a Bosch distributor. The engine cylinder heads were disassembled under prior ownership, but the cylinder heads have been bolted in place and the engine mounted back in the car for transport. The remainder of parts pictured are inside the car.Includes the jack, spare tire. The five 15″ Lemmerz ventilated steel wheels match the car and are all 5 dated 4-61.The outer body was stripped to bare metal displaying the solid body. Dash, gauges, steering wheel and interior all look original to the car.This vehicle looks to be completely original very solid body and chassis with no visible metal work done. The door jambs look solid and original – the doors open and close beautifully.
