Runs and drives great, low miles, fun to drive 5 speed manual transmission, vinyl seats, and removable sunroof. Not much is known about the history of this car other than it was acquired by the previous owner at an estate sale in northern Illinois when it was removed from long-term storage and serviced to restore it to running condition. Two small areas of corrosion on the left and right fenders near the nose as shown in the pictures appear to be related to the tight storage conditions. The car was never modified as the 12A designated 1.1 liter rotary engine and all related components appear to be original as is the interior and most of the exhaust components except for a replaced tailpipe section of the air pump exhaust system. At some point the car was apparently damaged with repair estimates exceeding the insured value resulting in the rebuilt notation on the title. The drivers door appears to have been replaced presumably related to the title status, and the exterior has been repainted in the original Sunbeam Silver color (color code K3 as shown in the photo of the underside of the hood) but no other repairs are evident. The car was rust-proofed/undercoated presumably when it was new so it is rust free except for some minor surface rust in certain areas including under the hood and the inside bottom of the drivers door as shown in one of the pictures. The underbody, wheel wells, quarter panels and fenders are rust free. The car is equipped with factory air conditioning, but it does not currently blow cold and would need to be serviced and/or recharged to restore function. Parts replaced/upgraded and maintenance during current ownership include the alternator, voltage regulator, spark plug wires, spark plugs, Eibach lowering springs, front strut cartridges, rear shocks, front end bushings, drivers side control arm and ball joint, passenger side control arm bushing, all fluids, oil and filter, H4 headlight upgrade kit from Racing Beat including addition of headlight relays,15x7 Rota rims with new Hankook Ventus V2 tires. The original waffle rims and original suspension springs will be included with the car. The car runs and drives great and everything functions as it should with the exception of the power antenna which must be manually extended but it does retract with the electric motor.
