Yes, here is your chance to own one of the most highly sought after muscle cars in history. Documented by the Pontiac Historic Services this 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 came from the factory with the following options; A.M. radio with a manual antenna, outside remote mirror, back-up lamps, power brakes, soft ray(tinted) windshield, Console, Power top, Power windows, custom seat belts, 3.42 gear Safe-T-Track (posi-traction) rear axle, 4 speed synchromesh transmission, HO-TRI-POWER 421, paint was a beautiful Mayfair Maize with a black top and a black bucket seat interior.As most of you know there are only several of these cars are known to exist. Yes, there are some 421 tripower 4spd. convertibles out there but not documented H.O. cars. This 2+2 needs to be completely restored. It is mostly complete. The body is very nice. The quarter panels are straight and there is no rust around the rear wheel wells or rocker panels. There is a small rust repair at the end of the passenger side quarter panel at the side bottom. Also there are some small rust holes under the rear seat and rear ps floor. The glass and regulators are missing from the doors. It has rust in the trunk too but the braces are fine as well as the frame supports. The deck lid should be replaced for a proper restoration. The rear end was opened for inspection and then cleaned. The gears and posi unit look excellent and it works fine and is a 3.42. Posi-traction. I have the WJ coded 421 that came with the car when I bought it but it is not installed and is not included in the sale of this car. If the new owner wants to buy it separately, it is $4,000- including the #77 heads and the tripower setup. I did not get the long branch exhaust manifolds with the car when I bought it. I have a free and clear California title in my name. The buyer is responsible for transportation. If it needs to be brought to California shipping I know someone who can bring it there for a fee.
