Price: US $19,000.00 SOLD OUT
This is a beautiful 1950 Willys Overland SW. Runs really well and has never been modified or manipulated. Original parts and new paint. Draws a crowd every time I pull it out of the garage. Absolutely no rust or bondo, no panels or parts have been cut or replaced. Body and roof are straight as an arrow and roof has no dents or buckles. Floors, frame and fender wells are solid and have no rust. It was truly in amazing condition when I found it. Purchased the car about 7 years ago after it had been in storage building for 25+ years. Owner passed away and family sold it. Most of these (as you likely know) have been cut on, modified and have significant rust at the base of the fenders and wheel wells. This has original everything, fenders, wheel wells, doors, engine and even oak strips that were refinished to perfection. I have aftermarket hubcaps on the car, but still have the originals. Willys has the original 4cyl F-head and transmission (4.73 ratio I believe) with working overdrive transmission. Even heater accessory was original and has been taken apart and fully restored. Here is a list of the improvements or work done the vehicle. - New two tone paint - 2011 (2010 Corvette Gray and Silver combination) - with all brackets, seat frames, window frames, etc being repainted. - fenders, grill, doors, etc were removed for painting - New brakes - 2009 - New tires - 2010 - Engine was rebuilt - 2005 - New glass and rubber all the way around - 2011- Radiator removed, flushed - 2012 - New gas tank, lines and fuel pump - 2012 - New plugs, battery, distributor, etc. - 2012 - New interior in 2012 - great looking herringbone pattern (red and black) - Body was pulled and new rubber cushions installed between body and frame. All gauges; gas, fuel, etc. work fine and car is still running original 6 volt power system. Starts easy and idles nicely. Transmission is a 3sp on the tree with overdrive control. Shifts nicely as well and easy to get used to 3 sp. Car has always been garaged and has not even been rained on since repainted. Great for someone looking to finish few small items and have a solid classic automobile. Or feel free to turn into a hot rod or beach cruiser - yours to be creative at that point. So, body looks great, car runs great... What needs to be done on it. There are a few simple things that I have not finished on the restoration. - Headliner needs installed, but I do have headliner kit for it. - Door welting fabric - Re-chroming of rear bumper (I have the original bumper and end corners) - Needs air cleaner connector) After you read the details and have reviewed the pictures let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for looking and happy shopping for your new classic. Chris and Lynda
