1969 RS/SS Camaro Convertible, 396, 4-speed Muncie, Matching numbers, totally restored. Perfect Garnet Red exterior with black interior. On Mar-03-15 at 10:50:33 PST, seller added the following information: Up for Auction is a Beautiful matching numbers 1969 RS/SS, 396 4-speed Muncie Convertible Camaro. This car had been sitting since August 1974 in a small rural area of Northern Missouri. The Bank repossessed the car form the original owner and the bank president sold it to his friend. The friend owned this car until 2011, when it was bought and restored. I do have the name of the second owner and the original title that says void on it. I also have the registration slip, inspection slip, and personal property tax slip from 1974. In 1974, the car was driven and kept overheating. It would not go over 80MPH. The car was parked and never driven again until 2011 when it was restored. I have all the pictures of date codes and serial numbers on car. The only thing that was added is power steering. This vehicle is an original 396 L-34 big block 350HP numbers matching. The Block had to be decked, but was stopped at the edge of the numbers shown in pictures. Trans is original and numbers matching. rear end is matching numbers, carb, water pump, starter, alt and so on matching. I bought this car in 2013 from the person who restored in Kansas City. The car in now in Washington State and has 77K original miles. Axle: BL 1002G2, 3.07 non-psi built Oct 2nd, Detroit Gear plant, second shift. Carb: part # 7029215, date 2498, 249th day of 1968 Rochester Quadrate. All parts were restored or replaced, all main mechanical parts were restored and original to car. There is no rust and this was a complete restore.
