1968 Mercury Cougar, 302, 4V, Newly Rebuilt Power Steering, Numbers Matching, All Original Rust Free Metal! 1 of 376 Originally Manufactured with Red Paint and Super Rare Parchment & Red Interior. Hard to find chrome & stainless is in great condition. This Southern Survivor from the upstate of Florida has just received a major updating by it's private owner. Unfortunately circumstances have forced this sale at a considerable loss. Just recently the interior was replaced. While being replaced the entire passenger compartment was lined with multiple layers of sound deadening. At the same time a Sony CD / Blue tooth Stereo with aftermarket kick panels speakers, 6 x 9's in the back deck and a new Amp was installed. While the interior was out the body was painted with the beautiful New Base / Clearcoat Red. During the install of the new interior all Weather-Stripping was replaced. Soon after the entire front suspension was rebuilt including the Power Steering system. While on the lift the Brakes, front & rear were all replaced. Also the original exhaust was replaced with a new Flow Master exhaust system. Under the hood the Carb & Intake were replaced with Edelbrock Performer Intake & Performer Carburetor. The points ignition was also replace with an HEI style distributor and a 50K volt coil. Even the tires are new. Literally this Cougar is being sold for the cost of the restoration! All updates were performed by professionals under the eye of an experienced owner with the intention of keeping this car for another 116,000 miles. This is not a slaped together makeover shoddily done for a quick payday.
