1971 AMC Hornet SC 360 with Go Pac option which includes high compression four barrel 360 with dual exhaust and functional hood scoop/ram air. This SC 360 is currently registered non-op in CA, but is not a California car. Was purchased used in the state of Washington in 2001. Hornet has power steering, limited slip differential, rally rims, air conditioning, and AMC locking gas cap. Car has been always been stored indoors when not in use. Good driver, overall solid car, runs good. Had a new headliner, carpet and seat covers installed in 2008. Floor boards are solid, does have some typical bubbling in rear quarters and rear valance which would need to be addressed during a repaint. Car was repainted at some time in the past because the 360 stripe is painted not taped. New parts installed recently include: battery, 3 row Blackstone HD radiator, thermostat and coolent, radiator and heater hoses, heater core, AC condenser, AC expansion valve, all AC hoses and O-rings, and AC compressor. Currently has Carter style four barrel carburetor installed, but includes original Autolite 4 barrel carb with correct carb tag. Ram air damper works and has original air seal which is in good condition. What this car needs to 100% mechanically: AC evacuated and charged with either R12 or R134. All replacement AC parts are rated for either R12 or R134. I could never decide which to charge the system with and will leave that decision to the new owner. Speedometer quit working about 100 miles ago. Speedometer and cable are good, drive gear in rear of BW transmission is just worn out and needs to be replaced (can be done with trans in car). And the AM radio speaker needs to be replaced. Car has normal dings, dents and scratches for forty plus year old but shows nice. Its a nice survivor and with fresh body and paint could be very nice. SC 360 where very rare, rarer than the SC Rambler. Payment will be through PayPal. Payment due within four (4) days of winning bid.
