1966 Porsche 912 coupe restoration project. This is a rusty car that will be a challenge to restore but these cars are getting difficult to find. We have a clear Pennsylvania title. History shows that it came to PA from NJ. Mileage is marked "EXEMPT". VIN # 451193 This was built in the first half of model run. 4,470 of the 912 series were built by Karmann in the 1966 model run. Engine # 747782 This engine was also built in the first half of the model run. We do not have a Porsche COA The engine is incomplete. There is a hole in the case from a connecting rod escape. There is no crankshaft or connecting rods. ........There are probably other parts missing. We tried to lay out the engine for photos. Please study the photos of engine parts. Transaxle # 221324 is a 902/1 type. We do not know details as we haven't split the case. Chassis; This is a rusty car. We have multiple photos of the chassis and have tried to show the problems. There is rust in the rear parcel tray (below the rear window) and it flexes when you open and close the engine lid. The engine lid is rusted through and will need to be replaced. Plan to do a lot of welding and panel replacement. All of the glass is in the car. The windshield has minor chips and sand pits but the other glass looks good. Interior; There are no front seats. There is one rear seat in terrible condition. All of the gauges are in the dash. They show fade and weather damage. There is no radio. There is no top dash pad.
