Up for auction is a 1949 Fiat Topolino 500 altered fuel dragster. The chassis was built by Foye Gilmore a well-known dragster chassis builder in Florida. The body is all steel minus the fiberglass nose and is a non running project. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet block with early model Hilborn Injection unit and 12 inch velocity stacks. This unit is complete with high pressure fuel pump and 2 gallon reproduction moon tank. Vertex Magnetto and Lokar shifter. The rear wheels are original Halibrand magnesium and the fronts are vintage American Racing 12 spoke dated 1965. Brand new M&H slicks on the front and rear. Rod and Race original fiberglass dash and working Stroud parachute. 1957 Oldsmobile rear end shortened with Henry's race axle shafts. This car is the real deal and raced extensively in Alabama and Florida during the early seventies. Please ask questions.
